Michelle Alexander, Cannon’s Head of Lower School, was recognized on Wednesday as a 2016-2017 inductee into the National Association of Professional Women’s VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She was awarded this prestigious distinction for her outstanding leadership and commitment to education. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 850,000 members and over 200 operating local chapters.
“I’m pleased to welcome Michelle into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her knowledge and experience in education are valuable assets to her company and community.” For her outstanding accomplishments in enriching her position with her diversified proficiencies, Mrs. Alexander is being honored as a leader and role model for her profession.
Mrs. Alexander has been at Cannon since 2010. She previously served as the Director of Diversity Programs and Community Outreach at The Seven Hills School in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Mrs. Alexander earned a Bachelor of Arts at Middlebury College and a Master of Education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She and her husband, Raymond, are parents to Tyler ’20, Harrison ’22, and Maryne ’26.
