The best way to celebrate the end of the first half of the school year is to have an exciting morning with your Lower School student at Gold & Maroon Day on Friday, December 18.
Last year was my first Gold & Maroon Day, and it was fun to watch returning parents excitedly filling the bleachers and the students proudly march into the gym grade-by-grade ready for their competition. Excited screams filled the gym throughout the morning as our children cheered for each other during their events like relay races and a tug of war. Who won? I’m not sure, but I’m certain the Lower School students could tell you, because they even make signs showing their allegiance to gold or maroon.
Although you don’t need to take to the gym to prepare, get ready for a little bit of healthy competition of our own, because parents have the chance to participate too. It ensures that our children have enough to laugh about during the car ride to our holiday destination! Enjoy Gold & Maroon Day and your vacation. Happy Holidays!
