Step Up To STEM

Grayson Herrera ’19 was one of thirty-six students from across North Carolina selected for the “Step Up to STEM” program at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics (NCSSM). “Step Up to STEM” is a year-long academic program that encompasses an interdisciplinary curriculum of science and mathematics coupled with a research opportunity. Grayson will spend two weeks this summer on the campus of NCSSM in Durham and work with mentors and faculty from both NCSSM and Cannon School to identify and research a specific topic.
