in Albemarle on February 14 and 15th.  The middle school dance class won  2nd overall junior small group and the upper school dance class won 4th overall teen small group. Both teams faced some stiff competition and the upper school classes volunteered to challenge themselves by competing in a higher division comprised of teams that have more experience than they have.  “ I am so proud of the upper school class for choosing to challenge themselves. I was blown away by their courage and willingness to take a risk.”, said Cannon Dance Instructor Melissa McDaniel. Both classes have qualified for national to my held in Mrytle Beach, SC in July.

* Student Council elections will be held March 9

* There are new pictures displayed in the front hallway on the television.

There is lots for us to know! If you have something that you would like to share with the Cannon Upper school community, please email the information to All information must be received by 3pm  to guarantee next day publication. Thanks for keeping us in the know!
