Dancers and drummers from Bi-Okoto Cultural Institute in in Cincinnati, OH visited Cannon School yesterday. This talented group of drummers and dancers performed and educated students on West African dance, music, and culture. In addition to assemblies with the entire middle school and lower school Bi-Okoto also conducted an exclusive lunch and learn with the middle school and upper school dancers and members of the Cannon School National Honor Society for Dance Arts. The dancers had a great times in their private workshop and even got the opportunity to learn a traditional West African dance done in the crop harvesting season.

Thinking about taking an art class next year? Wondering what to sign up for? There will be some new courses offered so come to this informational session to learn what to register for. New courses include: Studio Arts 1 & 2, Studio AP: 2-D Design, Studio AP: 3-D Design, Music Technology, Stagecraft, Acting, Advanced Acting, and there will likewise be some nominal changes to Media Arts.
