Envirothon will be having our first meeting during lunch on Friday October 3rd in Mrs. Mattsson’s Room (630), where we will go over the basics of Envirothon, upcoming opportunities, and our goals for the year.  Please contact Mimi Wahid with any questions!

 

Community Blood drive today October 1 between 8:30-12:30. Sign up at http://www.carolinadonor.org click code Cannon. Free t-shirt to all those who donate. Must be 16 years of age and show photo ID.

All are invited to donate used uniforms and costumes to help benefit needy children and families in our area. The costumes will be on sale Oct 8 from 12-6 in the private dining hall area  and Oct 16 from 11:00-1:30 in the private dining hall as well. Please support our endeavor.

Fall 2014 Driver Education Program

oct 17This year, Cannon will offer the driver education program during the fall semester only. Classes, which will be taught by a Cabarrus County Schools employee, will be held in Foundation Hall (the November 3rd  and

November

19th  classes will be held in the US Library Annex) from 3:00 p.m. to 5:25 p.m. on the following dates:

  • November 3-6
  • November 10-13
  • November 17-20
  • November 24-25 (make-up days

oct 111Students must be fifteen years of age on or before June 10, 2015 to be eligible to register. To complete the class, students must have thirty hours of class time and six hours of behind-the-wheel instruction.

 

After the class portion is complete, the instructor, Mr. Thomason, will coordinate with individual students to complete the behind-

the-wheel requirements during their drop periods or before school.

 

The $55 fee must be paid in the form of a check made out to Cabarrus County Schools.

 

To register for the fall driver education class, complete this form and e-mail it to Lisa Scurlock in the Upper School Office by Friday, October 3.
