 Proclamations:

Today we are hosting a one day visit from Dr. Stuart Gulley, who is the Accreditation/Self Study Chair of the process we are required to complete as an accredited school every five years. If you see Dr. Gulley being toured by Mr. Diskin please give him a warm Cannon welcome.  The entire Visiting Team, including Dr. Gulley, will complete a three day visit of Cannon School in April 2015. A cannon cheer for our visitor.

 

 

Governor’s School testing will be offered this Wednesday 10/1 at 3:30pm in room 616. It will be offered again on Friday, 10/10 at 9am in 616. Please see Ms Mee to register or with questions.

Fall 2014 Driver Education Program

This year, Cannon will offer the driver education program during the fall semester only. Classes, which will be taught by a Cabarrus County Schools employee, will be held in Foundation Hall (the November 3rd  and

19th  classes will be held in the US Library Annex) from 3:00 p.m. to 5:25 p.m. on the following dates:

  • November 3-6
  • November 10-13
  • November 17-20
  • November 24-25 (make-up days

Students must be fifteen years of age on or before June 10, 2015 to be eligible to register. To complete the class, students must have thirty hours of class time and six hours of behind-the-wheel instruction.

 

After the class portion is complete, the instructor, Mr. Thomason, will coordinate with individual students to complete the behind-

the-wheel requirements during their drop periods or before school.

The $55 fee must be paid in the form of a check made out to Cabarrus County Schools.

 

To register for the fall driver education class, complete this form and e-mail it to Lisa Scurlock in the Upper School Office by Friday, October 3.

Prep for SAT Test: Cannon will offer the Princeton Review SAT Workshop twice during the school year: Fall (10/18-11/20) and Winter (1/31-3/7). The

cost of $450 includes all materials, scored pre and post-tests, and 18 hours of instruction. For details on meeting dates and times and for online
