Varsity Cheerleading: Tuesday, May 20th will be our final Cheer Interest Meeting of the year. If you are interested learning more about being a Cannon Cheerleader please plan to attend this meeting. A representative will be at the meeting to help the team choose spirit and practice wear for the 2014 Fall Season. Bring your lunch to room 616 at 11:15.
The student-produced theater production of “Harvey” will be performed in Taylor Hall at 6:30pm on Friday and 2:30pm and 6:30pm on Saturday. Directed by senior Adam Swez, “Harvey” is a Pulitzer Prize-winning comedy written by American playright Mary Chase. It’s the story of a man, his family, and his best friend, a six-foot tall invisible rabbit. Come enjoy the show!
For the past two years, Cannon has participated in the National Association of Independent School’s Student Diversity Leadership Conference. The 2014 conference will be held December 4th-6th in Indianapolis, IN. There are eight open slots for students. Anyone interested in attending should email Ms. Harley at sharley@cannonschool.org by May 22nd. All current Upper School students are encouraged to apply, including past attendees.
There will be a meeting for all students who are interested in running cross country next fall in Coach Campbell’s room at 11:30 am on May 19. If you are not able to attend, please stop by and see Coach Campbell at some point to get the necessary information.
May is Asian-Pacific Heritage Month and Jewish American Heritage Month Upper School Used Textbook Consignment Sale Let Cannon Connections take care of selling your used textbooks for you! Cannon Connections will conduct its annual used textbook consignment sale in the Private Dining Room on Wednesday, May 28 and Thursday, May 29. Current Upper School parents and students are encouraged to drop off used textbooks they wish to sell beginning May 5 in the US Office. Upper School parents and students – including rising Ninth Graders – are invited to the sale to purchase used textbooks for the 2014-2015 school year. e attached for detailed information about the sale.
