Want to run for a Student Council Officer (President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer) position? Come to the interest meeting in Ms. Harley’s room Friday  February 28th at 7:50 AM. We’ll review the requirements for running and the duties of each position, and distribute a copy of the Student Council Bylaws.







 We have a super-spectacular opportunity this Friday during lunch in Foundation Hall to see a Cannon Alum who has demonstrated powerful leadership.

On February, Friday 28, from 3:00 to close, Sweet Frog will be donating a certain percentage of their profits to support Adam Swez’s Capstone to raise money for the James K. Polk House.  So come and eat at the Sweet Frog in Afton Ridge; everyone’s support would be greatly appreciated!

 Mr. Rogers and Mrs. Armstrong are offering an after-school studio on Tuesdays for interested art students who wish to work on individual development/processes or class work.  The first CREATIVE GENIUS COLLABORATIVE will happen on February 25th from 3:00-4:15 pm.   Please come by and check it out!  


It’s the time of year to begin thinking about leaders for NEXT year.  Here are the deadlines and some helpful hints: 

Student Council Speeches are on March 10th, the deadline to run for office is March 5th with a speech submitted to Dean Ramsey by 9am on March 6th.

Honor Council Speeches will be on March 24th (the day we return from Spring Break) with a speech submitted to Dean Booker by 9am on March 13th.

Houses will begin to look for Head Boys and Girls on March 25th.   Student interested in helping their Houses should get in touch with the current Head Boy or Girl of their House and be prepared to present a resume and  interview for positions within the House structure

Class Representatives April 8th speeches (these elections will be by grade-level.)  Please submit speeches to Dean Ramsey by April 2nd to be eligible.
