On February 16, 2014 the Cannon School Dancers competed in the Star Systems Regional Talent Competition in Albemarle, NC, and each class received top honors. Each of Cannon School’s three dance classes were judged on technique, execution, showmanship, and overall impression by professional judges from all over the country. Their scores were ranked with other routines in their division and all of the classes placed in the top five! The 7th and 8th grade dance class placed 3rd in the Teen Shining Star Large Group Division, the Upper School C-block Dance Class placed 2nd in the Senior Shining Star Small Group Division, and the Upper School A-block Dance Class placed 5th in the Senior Shining Star Large Group Division. All of the dancers did a wonderful job and their scores qualify them to attend nationals in Las Vegas, Myrtle Beach, or Panama City Beach. Please congratulate all of the dancers because it is quite an accomplishment for the Cannon School Dance Department to compete against students attending private studios and receive such high recognition. Way to go Cannon School Dancers!
