In honor of Black History Month, Cannon Cultures invites Cannon families to celebrate
Nelson Mandela Day with engaging discussions and a preview of the movie Mandela: Long Walk
to Freedom (Rated PG-13) on Wednesday, February 19.
Special guests, including Nelson Mandela’s grandchildren, will educate and engage our students, faculty, and staff during the school day about the global contributions of Nelson Mandela through interactive groups discussions; and parents are invited to the free viewing of the film that night.
As a group, we will have the opportunity to grow a great appreciation for the legacy of one man
who influenced the Rainbow of Culture movement, embracing the idea that “our collective
common ground is greater and more enduring than the differences that divide.”
In order to take advantage of the free movie ticket you must R.S.V.P. by February 17
by clicking the button below or at cannonschool.org/cannonculturesrsvp.
