Cannon Made Christmas in Davidson Extra Special this Year

Christmas in Davidson

The Cannon Belles, The Gentlemen, the Cannon Dancers, and the Jazz Band all performed at Christmas in Davidson. The crowd was enthusiastic and eager for music and dance to ignite their Christmas spirit. Between the carols being sung and the cool, crisp winter air, onlookers and performers were in a holiday state-of-mind.

The Cannon Belles delivered a stellar performance that included Let it Snow and ended with the always moving Carol of the Bells.

The Gentlemen spent less time on stage but created a contagious rhythm and energy that continued throughout the concert.

The Middle and Upper School dance classes did a fabulous job dancing to familiar Christmas songs; one number was choreographed using ribbons, which added a stunning three-dimensional aspect to their performance. One of the dancers who was front and center, Meghan Hendry ’16, won the ugly sweater contest, earning howls of approval from the crowd.

The Jazz Band also had a wonderful evening of song and performed in the beautiful Methodist Church on Main Street.

Earlier in the day, Cannon also had a memorable presence in the annual Christmas parade. The Cannon float was decorated by the Lovett family, and it made all of us connected with Cannon very proud. Thank you to our singers, musicians, and performers who helped spread the joy of the holidays!
