Athletic Results from Monday, April 18


  • The middle school baseball team lost 19-3 to a stout hitting Charlotte Christian team on Monday night.  Everett Craven got the start for the Cougars, allowing seven earned runs.  Tyler Ventura made three great plays in RF on defense, while Mark Calcagno gutted it out behind the plate.  On offense, Cole Lippincott continued his hot season, going 3-for-3.  Craven added an RBI, while CJ Davidson collected his first hit and RBI of the season.  Davidson also added two steals on the afternoon.  The Cougars conclude their regular season tomorrow at home against St. Mark at 4:15.

 

  • Middle School lacrosse took care of St. Mark’s yesterday, 13-3.  In one of their most complete games of the season, 10 of the 13 goals were assisted.  The Cougars dominated several statistical categories yesterday including groundballs (+22), shots (+25), and face-offs (79%).  Seven different players found the goal yesterday.  The defense continued their dominating ways, allowing just 5 shots on the day.  Scoring summary (Goals, Assists): Vaccaro (3,0), D.Nelson (1,1), Pelucio (2,1), Brenner (3,1), Wagner (1,1), Hearn (2,1), Workman (1,1).  The Cougars play their final home game of the regular season today against Charlotte Prep.  Face-off is scheduled for 4:30 pm.

 

  • The middle school softball team lost to Union Academy with a score of 8-0.
