Athletic Results from Tuesday, March 29

  • The varsity baseball team lost a tough game at Providence Day yesterday by a score of 9-5. Cannon came out and scored early in the 1st inning on a solo homerun by Justin Redfern but the lead was short lived because the Chargers scored 2 in the bottom of the inning. Cannon gave up a few more runs but battled back to within 4 after Connor Lippincott and Matthew Randolph both hit 2 run bombs. But that was as close as we would get. Ryan Marks and Bradley Barnhart did a great job out of the bullpen despite the team loss. Cannon will play today at home vs. PDS at 4:30 weather permitting.

  • The varsity golf team lost a close match to Southlake Christian on Tuesday afternoon.  The Cougars did not make many putts and the scores reflected such.  Grant deGorter led the squad posting a score of 40 and Christian Wilson posted 46.  The team will travel to Ceaderwood CC in one week to face Charlotte Christian.

  • The varsity softball game was rained out yesterday.
