The JV boys’ basketball team traveled to Countryside Montessori School yesterday to take on their varsity team and fell by a score of 77-72. The game was tight throughout, and the team played well considering the weather related lay off we experienced. Free throw shooting was the difference in the game, with the home team getting to the line a whopping 46 times. We had chances the last two minutes of the game, but could not corral the defensive rebounds we needed. Ryan Marks gave Cannon some offensive fire power, knocking down four 3 point shots and finishing with 15 points. JM Wilson contributed all 15 of his points in the second half. Blake Brewer played a great game in the post and had 12 points. The boys will look to rebound Tuesday at Providence Day.
